About the Role:
ViaR Recruitment is pleased to present an exciting interim opportunity for an experienced Valuation Surveyor to join Barnet Council’s Growth team. In this role, you will support the Head of Property Services by delivering high-quality property asset valuations, handling finance and audit queries, and contributing to one of the largest development programmes in England.

As an Interim Valuation Surveyor, you will take on a range of responsibilities, including valuations of development sites, general property assets, and buildings. With a hybrid working model, you’ll enjoy flexibility, access to modern facilities, and the opportunity to visit various sites across the borough.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake property asset valuations, including development sites and general valuations.
  • Respond to finance and audit enquiries related to asset valuations.
  • Conduct site visits (including unaccompanied visits to construction sites).
  • Manage a caseload of asset valuation projects and support the wider team.

About You:
To excel in this role, you will bring a combination of technical expertise and professional qualifications, alongside excellent organisational and communication skills.

Essential Criteria:

  • Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
  • A valid UK driving licence and willingness to drive. (A pool car will be provided if you do not have access to a vehicle.)

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience in local government as a valuer.
