About The Client
Our client is a child-centred Independent Fostering Agency guided by strong moral principles, integrity, and a commitment to ethical social work practice. Their mission is to provide safe, nurturing, and stable homes for children and young people while upholding the highest standards of care and professional behaviour. As they enter an exciting and important phase of development and expansion, they are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead their service with compassion, transparency, and ethical leadership.
The Role
As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management, leadership, and continued development of the agency.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing strong, values-led leadership to social workers, support staff, and foster carers.
- Ensuring ethical, transparent practice across all areas of service delivery.
- Maintaining full compliance with regulatory standards, including Ofsted requirements.
- Driving sustainable, responsible growth through strategic planning and meaningful partnership building.
- Embedding a culture of safe, ethical decision-making and reflective practice.
- Overseeing high-quality safeguarding processes that put children’s rights, welfare, and wellbeing at the centre.
- Leading the agency through inspections, audits, and quality assurance processes with integrity and openness.
About You
We are looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking leader who demonstrates:
- Significant experience in fostering and social care management.
- A proven track record of ethical leadership and sound professional judgement.
- Strong leadership and management experience, including motivating teams and leading change.
- A deep understanding of fostering regulations, safeguarding, and minimum standards.
- A commitment to equality, anti-discriminatory practice, and person-centred values.
- Experience in developing or growing a service while maintaining ethical, high-quality practice.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills.
- A recognised social work qualification and registration (e.g., Social Work England).
